Ademilola Lola Odujinrin First African Pilot to fly the world solo on a single plane engine

The General Aviation Commission, GAC wing of The FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) – The World Air Sports Federation, which was founded in 1905 has awarded Ademilola “Lola” Odujinrin THE GAC CIRCUMNAVIGATION BADGE EASTWARDS DIPLOMA

The South London born British Nigerian Pilot, Ademilola “Lola” Odujinrin is a major player at the forefront of painting a good image for Nigeria and he has welcomed the recognition by the official body.

The award coming through during the Corona Virus Pandemic of 2020 that took the world by surprise, causing major cities to lockdown, businesses to go bankrupt and many lives lost is a glimmer of hope for the future.

Aviation has been worst hit by the virus and Lola hopes that this will not deter thousands considering a career in the sector.

‘If I can do it, millions can too and I urge people to chase their dreams” said Lola.

He also said “Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of one day flying around the world. We have a responsibility to lead by example and follow our dreams. I want African children to think: “I can do this too!” Odujinrin said.

“I just don’t want to be remembered as the man who flew around the world, I would rather want to be remembered as the guy who overcame All Odds” He concluded.
